If you're into slope flying, you know all too well that our fun is at the pleasure of the wind gods. We've had a few MWSC events that didn't get off the ground for that very reason.

So come prepared!! Bring some kind of light air, thermal, novelty or non-slope flying machine. 2001 Friday and 2002 Saturday were days like that. And we saw an amazing assortment of thermal planes, electrics, bungee launches, hand launches and even a rocket-glider. And once we got beyond the pain of no slope flying, it was a wonderful day.

So count on it and deal with it! There will be one day without wind.

There are some fairly large open flat areas around the main bowl, so there is room to have fun, even without the wind.

And if it rains, there's always food, drink and local attractions to amuse ourselves with....
